Life coaching can give you the power to live your dreams, achieve, succeed and live the life you want and truly deserve. It is certainly the buzzword of the moment, being extremely popular and successful in the USA. More and more people in the UK are using it to improve their own lives, as it enables you to learn empowering life skills.

What is Life Coaching and what can it do for me?

Life coaching offers a practical means to enable you to make positive changes in your life. No longer can you continue to blame others or be ‘the victim’. We are all responsible for everything in our lives, and life coaching enables you to recognise this and use it to your advantage enabling you to reach your full potential.

During the initial 15 min session, you will fill out a wheel of life diagram, in which you will be able to look carefully at your life areas, and notice which ones need that little bit of help. As human beings, we are at our happiest when our lives are balanced, and so you will be able to learn the life areas and decide for yourself. Once you have arrived at what you want to achieve, then I will help you set goals. I will explain how they can be set, and explain the importance of making them S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timed). During the sessions that follow you will evaluate these, and I will help you to keep motivated along the way. When successes are made, you will be encouraged to celebrate!

What can you do for me that I cannot do myself?

How many times do we decide to do something, but never quite see it through? Think New Year’s resolutions, how often are yours the same each year? You owe it to yourself to change all that. Life coaching not only empowers you, but having a weekly contact with me whether that is through email, phone or face to face is an excellent means of keeping you on track

Think of weight watchers or any system, which involves some form of commitment, and immediately you see the benefits! Life coaching works in a similar way. My promise to you as your coach is to instil in you an indestructible self-belief enabling you to eliminate doubts. I will encourage you to think like a natural optimist expecting to succeed, but acknowledging that you will encounter set backs on your journey but having the ability to bounce back regardless. I will enable you to clarify your desires, dreams and ambitions. I will motivate you to take action.


Is it similar to Counselling?

Life coaching is centred in the here and now. It is not like counselling in the sense that it does not focus on past experiences, and emotions, which are having a negative impact on the individual’s current mental state. Sometimes it can take a little while to realise what is affecting a person. If after a few sessions, I feel that it is counselling you require and not life coaching, then I will let you know and you will be given a full refund of any payments you have made.

Disclaimer

This is something that you will be required to sign during our first 30 mins free session. In this, you will be explained what my commitment to you will be, and in return I require the same from you. Without commitment, you will soon lack the motivation, and the whole experience will be pointless. This will be spelled out to you prior to undertaking any kind of life coaching. By commitment I mean making a regular weekly slot for your life coaching, and doing any ‘homework’ or follow up work between sessions. I want your time with me to be as useful and productive as possible.

How many sessions will I need?

Again this is completely up to you. All cases are individual, and so there is no minimum or maximum number of sessions. As long as I can see that you are making positive steps to achieving what you want, and you feel as if you are then that is perfectly adequate.


Sessions cost £35 per hour, with the first 30 mins being a free consultation. During the first session we meet face to face, and establish the area of work, as well as how the sessions are going to run. From then on, sessions can continue face to face, via the phone or through us communicating via email, whichever fits your busy schedule.
