Hi Everyone,

Hope all's well, and that you are enjoying the fantastic summer weather.

Be Raring to go at your Race this Summer

Running is the focus for this newsletter.  For anyone running any kind of race whether that is a marathon, half a marathon or 5km, looking after yourself has never been so important.  Regular sports massage can help you train harder for longer whilst keeping your body in tip top condition.

Massage:

  • Improves circulation, enabling your blood to flow more effectively
  • Enables muscles to deal more effectively with any extra strain put on them during periods of intense exercise
  • Helps reduce muscle soreness, and when taken regularly during training helps prevent against injury
  • Reduces inflammation. Massage improves lymphatic drainage so the body is more capable at getting rid of toxins.  Deep massage improves lymph drainage, so swelling is reduced
  • Reduces water retention and assists weight loss
  • Provides a deeper form of relaxation
  • Incudes assisted stretches so you are also improving your general flexibility as well as strength.  Strong, flexible muscles means maximum performance
  • Includes post care advice to improve general performance to keep you fit, healthy and at your peak

Don't take my word for the benefit of having regular massage, visit my clinic and come and see for yourself.  Isn't it time you rewarded yourself for all the hard work you've done?

Magic Fingers is keen to help.
For all runners, enjoy £5 off your massage, and for those of you who book either 5 weekly or fortnightly sessions enjoy your 5th treatment free of charge.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Rachel

P.S.  You should have a 5-10 min warm up period where you walk, build up to a jog and then run.
Remember to stretch at the END of your session holding each stretch for at least 20 secs.Do a range of stretches for key areas-legs, lower back, chest and arms (as many runners hold their arms in the same position for long periods of time!)

DON'T CUT CORNERS, TAKE TIME TO STRETCH!
